Anchor of the Universe
Four chunks of earth, floating in the sky and anchored into various parts of Verdan. They each point to the four cardinal directions. Their origin is steeped in mystery, but The Gaima claim they are holy lands, but have not yet formulated a clear theology on their purpose.
The names and directions for each island are: Freidus (north), Vorra (east), Zaddak (south), and Menar (west).
No one knows what lies on the surface of the islands, but legends are told of Thurvan Handyhock, who is said to have been the only person to climb the chain to the island Vorra. Accounts vary since he never returned.
